Dedicated dance rental studios in Lethbridge didn't exist when Cara was a dancer, so she was forced to get creative: From dancing on a portable linoleum floor in her bedroom to tapping on the carpet of a vacant warehouse, and flat surface became her practice space.
When her daughter Kya started dance, Cara faced the same challenge of finding a proper movement space for dance practice. And Cara knew that this challenge was shared by countless other dance parents and dancers in the city.
Cara and Kya were motivated to find a solution. They used their 28 combined years of dance experience along with Cara’s background in management and event planning and created more than just a dance rental studio - they built a vibrant, inclusive, and accessible hub for movement, creativity, and community. Whether you’re a dancer or a fitness instructor, Studio 1313 is a space for you to move, create, and inspire.
